I work primarily in oil for my portraits. Some are painted from reference photos, others are painted from life, depending on what I am exploring and how I want to express it. Sometimes realistic is important, other times inferences are ambiantic colors. Always with a human -ness touch. Even if it doesn't look human, it is. Look harder, it is in you.
